On January 1st, 2009, Leo van den Thillart and the entire former Bear Stearns Private Funds Group team transitioned from J.P. Morgan. Leo has now joined Brookfield Asset Management Inc. along with some of his former colleagues from J.P. Morgan and Bear Stearns & Co., Inc. to manage the company’s private equity institutional relationships group. Leo is carrying his duties from the London offices, with other team members in Munich, New York, Toronto, Sydney and Hong Kong.


On February 16th, 2007, Bear Stearns & Co., Inc., through a wholly owned subsidiary, had acquired Crane Capital Associates, a private equity fund placement business with offices in London, Toronto, New York, Munich, Melbourne and Tokyo.
